The Fool aka Me

Well...today was a bit of a disaster in my studio class i was getting on with my work only now realising i only have two weeks to finish my first project but thank god i don't have to make anything for it but i still feel bad that i haven't got much in my book while other people in my class have full sketch books with amazing designs and much better work than i do, which obviously made me depressed and when my tutor came to speak to me as she had to other students i got really upset and began to cry my word i am such a baby.

but anyway she told me what i really need to do is stick things in and that she saw real potential for amazing work in my drawings which made me realise that i was acting very foolish by crying but she told me to not be too intense about my work as after all i have come from a BTEC course which didn't push me as hard as uni has so far its so frustrating but i have to grow up and see the bigger picture, i saw it from another point of view if i don't put the effort in then what am i doing here all my hard work just to throw it all away in my first year of uni no i am not going down that road like so many others i want to reach me goal and further to the stars (cliche right).

so what i am trying to say is i have to grow some tougher skin and rise to the challenge don't sit around and mope because it does no good because then you will deffinetly fail.

Its not all its cracked up to be

Hey my loyal followers

 well I am into my third week of uni and i thought i was going to be my usual self making friends easily and going out partying but well as it says in the title its not its cracked up to be and for good reason too, i moved from the little town of South Shields which is about three hours away from Preston in Lancashire and so i have been terribly homesick and lonely but dont worry I'm coming to terms with it, but i am quite concerned that i havent made any friends like i normally would at home it was so easy but here everyone is different.

surprisingly i havent been to any of the freshers parties or anything because no one asked me or i just didnt feel like going but it doesnt matter as i am going out tonight for a friends birthday and i am going to enjoy it fully whether i know anyone or not.

but all in all i am enjoying my life at uni my classes are fun and a bit unusual but i'm sure if i keep on top of it and try hard that i will fit right in with this bunch of misfits. :)

I'm so excited and i just can't hide it!

Hello people

i have some excellent news i have just been into my college and asked for my results and i passed with flying colours i am going to uni!!!! i am over the moon and so are my family and friends i cant wait to move to Lancashire and live there it is going to be so exciting.

i hope other students out there who are waiting for their results are excited to begin a new chapter in their lives because i know i am but if you dont get the grades you want dont fret if you contact the uni you have applied for and tell them you have not passed but also tell them you are dedicated to the uni and the course you have applied for and are willing to work twice as hard then they will probably give you a months trial or more to see whether you cut it.

Accommodation sensation

Finally today I got an email from UCLAN to tell me that they have a place for me in Roeburn hall, yes it cost £250 but its well worth it and I cant wait to start its going to be so fun moving in and finding my way around the campus and city.

I also got another email about freshers with a gig and extra goodies which I am going to have to get in on indeffinetly.

the jubilee and half term holiday

Well I thought it was great her majesty has been on the throne for 60 years and i hope she lasts another ten so that charles really considers that it his son William who is to be king and not him and for all you lovers of the Queen Camilla revolution i feel sorry for you as you must have something wrong with your brains the queen will not allow it and neither will the church it is a time honoured decision that divorcee's shall NEVER take the throne just like Prince Edwards wife Ms. Wallace Simpson an American and a Divorcee there was no way that women was going to gain title in that life or the next.

Sorry about that rant but i feel so strongly about this sort of thing as it is but now onto the better things in life my so far week of being filled with cold but i went up to newcastle on Saturday with my good friend Jess and she introduced me to a aromatic soap shop named LUSH cosmetics i had seen it before in sunderland and wasnt convinced about their products but a woman there was giving advice to Jess about cleanser that would help with blemish breakouts for me as I felt really stupid asking but i am going to have to learn to interact better.

Now I am rambling lol but I got a sample of the cleanser but then my old factory senses came across a tantalizing smell of mango and it was you've been mangoed bath melt, I had to have it so after jess and I had gotten what we wanted we were offered at the counter to put our things together and if it was worth £20 we would get freebies and surprisingly it did add up to the right amount and we got products for free I got 'I love juicy' shampoo and half a bar of squeaky green shampoo, Jess got the other half and a conditioner, and now she has me hooked on the products they are only made out of all natural ingredients with little to no synthetic ingredients.

that was probably the best day i had so far this week but now onto the important uni stuff and i know you are probably thinking she's just ranted on about random stuff but thats how i operate to get down to the really important things.

I got a email telling me I am on this Flying Start course before i go to uni which is great and i also recieved an email with a login and password for UCLAN access network and it looks wonderful and i cant wait to start uni this is going to be a great new chapter to my life and hopefully a more eventful one than the others have been filled with romance and excitement, but I'll just have to wait like everyone else.

my first proper post :)

Ok so I understand if you think this blog seems stupid with only having one post and it being a poem I wrote when I was in year 9 but hopefully you feel the same way I do (shit scared of starting uni) and want to hear of my journey through getting into uni and surviving.

So today I have applied (at last) for accommodation its rather an easy process at UCLAN but I'm sure its not like that for every university across the world. I am actually hoping to be offered accommodation near to the building I will be studying in, oh I forgot to tell you I am going to be studying fashion and textiles its my majoring subject at college at the moment and I love it its something I have been doing since I was little.

Strangley my mam said 'since you were born you had nothing but a pencil and pad of paper in your hands, always doodling..' and from there it goes on I love my mam (sometimes lol).

But I shouldnt be scared of the fact I'm going to be living away from home for awhile I should be embracing it, a new chapter to my lifes journey.

I hope to be posting for the major parts of my journey but i am sorry if i dont get round to it.
